I really wish I did these yesterday, before winless Fordham Prep beat undefeated White Plains. Except for that, I have it so that all these teams had beaten the teams below them, and lost to the teams above them. Then again, what fun is that?
Some quick ground rules: I didn’t take scrimmages into account. There’s a reason they don’t count in the standings. And I didn’t consider missing players—the game still counts the same on your record, so why I should I count it less? Finally, I’ll be completely honest—I have no idea what to do with Rye Country Day. I haven’t seen them yet, coaches (granted, with obvious agendas) have given me completely conflicting accounts, and there’s nothing resembling a common opponent. While nothing in this business is ever set in stone, we should be there when they play Iona Prep and Mamaroneck, and I will include them after that. So while I’m sure the Wildcats should be somewhere on this list, they won’t appear this week.
1. Suffern (5-0): They haven’t lost in 24 games dating back to last season.
2. Iona Prep (6-0): Have outscored opponents 46-13, but will definitely be tested tonight.
3. Mamaroneck (4-1): Brian Conner scored eight goals in 24 hours against Suffern and Mahopac.
4. Pelham (7-1): Three wins already against League 1 and only loss was at Hommocks.
5. White Plains (6-1): Slipped up yesterday, but can’t ignore wins over Stepinac, Rye and RT/H.
6. Rye Town/Harrison (3-2): Wins are Rye, Mahopac and M-W; Losses are WP and Pelham.
7. Stepinac (3-3): Lost to WP, who Fordham Prep just beat, but shutout win over Rams gives them the edge.
8. Mahopac (3-4-1): Lost three straight, but against what I consider the top three teams in Section 1.
9. Mount Pleasant (2-0): Won two games handily, but I wish I had more to go on.
10. Fordham Prep (1-3): Two losses to IP nothing to be ashamed of.
On the doorstep: John Jay (3-2): Should be fine in League 1 after all; Brewster (3-2-1): Tied Mahopac and just swept Fox Lane.
I thought 1-5 were easy, 6-9 was tough, 10 I had no idea but FP is the only team with a win over a ranked team, plus I think a lot of teams would be 1-3 with IP, IP, Step and WP on the schedule. Now, watch North beat RT/H tonight and throw these rankings completely out the window.
Your thoughts? Your rankings?

Harold, I’m sure this will change greatly on a weekly basis. Looks like a good start based on what has been written in the papers. Actually Suffern is 23-0-1 in their last 24. The tie being the scoreless 4 OT semi final against Ithaca
If Suffern won 23 in a row dating back to last year, We are either using John Orlando as the historian or we are not counting the state semi-final loss.
Harold, I think it looks good so far. You seemed to have nailed it on the head. Of course when Pelham beats Suffern ALL that will change. GO PELHAM!!!!!
the shoot-out loss does not count as a loss. it goes on the record as a tie. Hockey Fan you need to learn the rules before writing..
Good eye Spencer. I fixed it
fordham prep is 2-3 they beat chaminade 6-2
John Orlando is “semi-retired, and someone else is running the family business” Why bring him up-unless you are a North fan, and wanted to write about something
I have said it once and I will say it again: Suffern Parents are the worst. They do nothing but bash other teams and players. Get off of the blogs because your making your own kids look bad.
what other team or player was bashed? i dont’ get it..
Harold, I like most of your choices, but you forgot RCDS. They have played some very, very good programs to ties or close losses in the last few weeks. Certainly a top 5 team if they are eligible for inclusion in your power rankings. Also, I would not put Fordham in the top 10. They had a nice win last nite. WP was due for a stinker after a long run. The Ram’s other win was against a very weak Chaminade team. Also Fordham had their troubles in scrimmages against Ossining and Pelham. They were manhandled by Iona the second game. Iona was running lines 3 and 4 for the second 1/2 of the game to keep the score respectable. Fordham’s best effort was the loss to the Gaels over Thanksgiving weekend. Big rivalry game in front of a mammoth crowd got them going. Time will tell, but Fordham is not strong this year. Still, with only a few strong teams in the CHSHL (Iona and Stepinac) and a lot of weak teams there, the Rams should still make the playoffs and have an above .500 record.
Yes, Bill, we know you said it once and will say it again. It’s what you do. You repeat yourself. No matter how stupid you sounded the first time around, how little evidence you have to support your asinine theories, how petty and childish your opinions are, you just keep it flowing. That’s what we love about you.
fanotgame, how did Harold forget RCDS? He wrote 5 lines about them above. Please go back and re-read, then re-submit
suffern has not LOST a game since mid december 2006 against clarkstown north at palisades….the state semifinals ‘loss’ goes in the standings as a tie because it was a shootout loss after 7 scoreless periods, therefore, suffern hasnt lost in nearly on full year
also, its been about 2 full years since suffern has lost at home.
none this year
none last year (losses were upstate to cba, at mamaroneck, at north, and ‘tie’ in utica)
the year before, i think they lost to maybe fox lane 5-4 with the daniels on offense and steve schlanger in goal..was down 5-0, woke up and netted 4
???-oops.
Rye Country Day School lost to Northwoods third team this weekend so please do not confuse that with Northwoods # 1 team. Nice try though
OK. I agree with Harold. Lets wait till they play some Secion 1 and CHSHL teams before putting them in the mix.
fanotgame,
yes, chaminade is weak this year in the chshl, but besides iona and stepinac, farrell always has talent (they just beat stepinac)
a little explanation of chshl for those interested
-it has a bad travel/junior problem
-molloy opted to drop a level this year to play in the B division (the chshl has a, b and c divisions) b/c of the high travel/junior commitment, but now they are realizing they will probably go undefeated and win the B handily
-chaminade has a BAD junior problem…a humungous school (2x-3x bigger than fordham/iona), but players, for the most part, choose not to bother with their high school team and just play travel/junior
-over the past few years, xaverian in brooklyn went through some of that and then some of this…since farrell’s hockey program was getting hot (and xaverian’s rep as an academic institution was declining), alot of brooklyn players who would’ve played at xaverian (years ago, xaverian’s program was actually nationally recognized) are willing to cross the bridge and play in staten island for farrell
-also, another point to bring up…for those who know anything about chshl jv…chaminade does not allow freshmen/sophomores to move up to varsity…hence their jv dominance
-im sure there are lots that play on AAA travel/junior teams in public schools, but it always seems to be much more in the catholic schools…especially with the transfering to the boarding preps after frosh and soph years to taft, avon, northwood, brunswick, hotchkiss, etc…that happens MUCH more than most think with iona, fordham, farrell, chaminade, etc.
does anyone know if iona is playing st. mary’s A team or B team tonight in syosset?
More ground rules….NEVER rank a League 2 or lower above any League 1 team. (unless WP beats Suffern which ain’t happening) they dont play a league 1 schedule so you can’t consider them at all above any League 1 teams. And Rye/RTH wins dont count either.
2. Suffern doesnt lose at home for 2 good reasons: Ref 1 and Ref 2.
New England 55 Jets 3
good teams (like suffern) get a lot of power play opportunities, not because of treatment by referees but my nature…
look, when you have several weapons, a team that is having trouble competing, keeping up, or trying to prevent goals MUST take penalties to gain some sort of an edge, whether theyre tied, slower, or just lazy, teams with lesser firepower take penalties…then, teams like suffern, score on those power plays, or drain more energy of the opponent who now has 4 defenders to stop 5 players, where they had trouble and took penalties using 5 to stop 5
thats why good teams get power play opportunities
the whole ref thing is very funny.. suffern as well as every other team has nothing to do with who ref’s their games. Schelling doesn’t call specific refs and pay them more for refing the suffern game they they would get if they went to ref a game somewhere else. They are section 1 refs not sporto refs or homocks refs etc.. it is truly amazing to me how stupid some of the people on this blog are.. first the comment about the semi final loss.. no its not a loss and suffern didn’t make up that rule, now the ref comment. dumb just really dumb..
The over/under on the Jet-Pats game is 105
Guess Suffern brought Ref 1 & Ref 2 to the jungle
weak hack at Suffern claiming the refs favor them. Whenever a team is successful there are always those jealous folks who look for these types of things. I have heard the same regarding Fordham the last two or three years when they were winning the championships, heard it about Pelham and Rye when they when they were going good. Heard that about Mamaroneck too when they were streaking early in the year last season. Suffern, is in a class of its own, and they work at it. Mamaroneck, and North below over the last few seasons but are successful. Fordham the last few seasons, and Iona. Pelham, Rye and a few years back Fox Lane. Give these people their due credit. There are only a few that win consistently while there are many many more playing the game
I saw your Suffern “weapons” on Saturday. Very unimpressive, they did not look better than the mamaroneck kids. I certainly was not awestruck.
Can we just wait until Iona Prep plays Suffern and White plains before we put them in 2nd?
I think that this tuesdays game when suffern travels to mount vernon will be a a big game to see really how good Pelham is. I think they will surprise a lot of people with how well they play them.
This weekends games against Bethlehem and Queensbury will show if Pelham can do well in states.
sec1fan,
iona is blowing out fordham and has st. mary’s, bosco, bergen, suffern, rye country day and monroe woodbury on its schedule outside of its league…nevermind the scrimmages/exhibtions against suffern and brunswick…if thats not a top 3 team, i dont know what is…
if someone finds out if iona is playing the A or B squad of st. mary’s, please post…
Iona is playing the A Team!
sec1 fan,
So you’re a Pelham fan. Who has Pelham played that’s tough. Other than Mamaroneck, the rest of the competiton is a Joke. Let’s face it, years ago when teams went up state and played teams like QUeensbury,SAlmon,Guiderland etc, they would get killed. Now that competition is so weak that it’s a joke. Play the teams that Suffern plays then you’ll get respect. All you’re doing now is Padding your stats. We all know, know why you’re playing them.
P.S. Since you’re picking on Iona prep for being rated #2, the only other team that could of been considered would be Mamaroneck. Definitely not Pelham.
Don’t think Suffern was out to impress you. I would think that the one goal they had was to win the game, look for home ice in the sectionals. Which by reading the paper, is what they did.
Suffern has been a winning program for 25 yrs,and If I am not mistaken has never been under 500% in any yr, so I would like to thank the refs for all their help.
You pepole are all nuts ,this program has ruled this area for over a quater century so stop with all the jealousy
and all the bulls_ _ _ excuses.
Those who still believe the Rockland refs dont favor suffern have sadly been misled for years. Its not even just a suffern thing, the Rockland refs in general tend to favor the calls towards the Rockland team, be in Suffern, North, South or No. Rockland. A couple of them are terrible, most do it just slightly, but for a fan of the game, even impartial, to watch the game and not come away with the idea that the rockland refs favor the home team is just ridiculous. Maybe it gets exaggerated when the calls go Sufferns way, and maybe the westchester officials do it too, but theres no doubting it happens. Schelling runs that rink and with Orlando’s help runs the entire county as far as hockey is concerned.
excuse me they dont run teh county i quickly realized how ridiculous that is, but we can all agree that those two have a considerable amount of pull, maybe more than deserved.
Ok after watching the Suffern Mamaroneck game, i feel that Mamaroneck can really give Suffern a run for their money. If the Tigers learn to stop taking dumb penalties and play more disciplined then they have a great shot at beating them. It almost looked like they out played Suffern.
tigervet,
i will not disagree with you for ur comment but i will emphasize where u mentioned the westchester refs. u cannot say rockland refs do it without saying that ur refs do it too.
The refs are assisigned by section 1. There are two NIHOA associations involved in the schedules. One is for all home games in Westchester(WIHOA). The other is the NY/NJ metro
Assoc. that gets the games in Rockland. All have to skate/take tests/ and attend rules meetings.
And also put in long nights reffing/working out/cardio after working all day.
so grab a whistle tigerbuster
to IP,
I figured this years’ playoff teams in CHSHL would be Iona, Step, Farrall, Fordham. Saw those small, fast Farrell underclassmen skaters give Fordham a little trouble in last year’s playoffs. Still think it will be an Iona/Step final, though. Looking forward to Iona vs. Suffern. Hope both teams play hard in that one.
In your opinion Mamaroneck out played Suffern, but newspaper said Suffern out scored them, sooo…. which matters more? And about the ref talk-weren’t those westchester refs?
N-4-CER…sweet name…now seriously though, i have reffed, and done everything they do. I dont understand your grab a whistle tiger buster. You seemed to support me when you said there are two sets of refs (rockland and westchester) making it all the more likely they would favor one area. In all likely hood they live where they ref and have some tie. Its not unnatural to have an opinion, but the rockland refs just seem to favor rockland teams more than westchester refs favor their teams.
You need to get some other leagues involved. It’s always suffern and them
refering to the post above by tigerbuster—————ie:2. Suffern doesnt lose at home for 2 good reasons: Ref 1 and Ref 2.————
I don’t think they favor one or the other. They are professional about their business. They are there to manage the game and keep the players safe. Coaches don’t always agree on the calls but respect the objectivity of the official making it.
Joke time,
I would like to see Mamaroneck at #2 until we see Iona Prep play a public section 1 team.
Why are you ragging on Pelham’s schedule? They play a league one schedule and go upstate to play the defending D-II champs from Sections X and II.
And padding stats? The only game you can accuse them of scheduling for that reason is lake placid, who they beat by 1 last year.
If any dumb hick thinks that section 1 is a joke…let them think it…who cares.
Suffern can play all the upstate powers they want to…but you know deep down in their brains where they don’t like to look they are thinking “We are lucky we beat Mamaroneck, they are better skaters than us, and they have more depth, we only play 9 skaters…I just need to pray that nothing happens to Natoli who saved us that game.” Suffern better put Natoli in a bubble and make sure he does not get sick or hurt, because if he does…season over. Worry about getting out of section 1 baby, because we are coming to get you.
Go Pelham beat Suffern.
back it up the next time you have the chance, but right now, you didnt do it. undisciplined like pre-schoolers on a “JUNGLE” gym, you were sent to time out…5 times
and, like in 95 of years past, suffern will emerge, and youll be lost in “the lions den”
they might be thinking, “we beat mamaroneck on a night were we played so poorly? whats all the fuss about?” the tigers were caged and tames by the mounties on an off night…cant wait til theyre on the prowl in february
there is no way mamaroneck has more depth
if the schools had a combined team, only one forward (connor) would make one of sufferns top 2 lines, and hagan, your tall #1 d man, would come off the bench behind ojeda and conklin
have some depth perception..and count the banners and the Ws baby, maybe it wasnt natoli’s usual heroics, but glassers .80 save percentage on the night that endangered the tigers…connors spectacular, dont get me wrong, but hes all alone…..talk about depth
now, on to skaters…hmm…pulling guys down on breakaways, getting burned for breakaways doesnt make the guy sitting in the box, or the guy slamming his stick/pulling the puck out of the netting seem like a better skater
you needed a touchdown to beat mahopac..get over yourself, you lost, claim whatever you want about what suffern thought after the game…but i bet they, the back-to-back-to-back section champions thought…hmm, we still have a big fat 0 in the loss column, and have for a year, and unless they lose the section, they wont care what you think they should pray about or think about a road win they picked up…whens the last time mamaroneck had a road win v suffern at sporto?....yeah, i cant remember either
tiger paws
your just upset cause ur team lost to a better team. get over it. maybe if ur players werent such babys smacking their sticks and yelling at the refs you mightve had a shot of winning. a team as undiciplined as mamaroneck has no chance of winning the section. as for pelham, final score 6-0 suffern
im not trying to make any excuses but it didn’t help that the guy who scored 2 goals against suffern last year wasn’t playing for mamaroneck!!!
Without Connor you guys dont stand a chance and as far as Hagen if you dont let him tee it up you have nothing to worry about his skating is average at best and if that is what you guys call the so called jungle most teams wont have a problem there this yr, where were your fans.
Hey Joke Time
Pelham plays with the big boys and has played in League 1 for many years, they dont jump up and down. If you knew anything about the section you would know Pelham woud have had 10+ section titles if everyone would have played where they belonged come playoff time. Take a look at the difference in school enrollment, Pelham has never hidden. Realize this too, Pelham has probably lost 50 hockey players to Prep schools and Catholic schools in the past 10 years. BTW its Highschool so you really dont know the quality of your opponent year to year.
Suffern-1503
Mamaroneck-1399
Mahopac-1653
John Jay-1273
Clarkstown North-1476
RTHBB-who cares
Pelham-716
Rye-715
North—- Rye sroce ?
score
North …Rye score ????
they are playin rt/h not rye
to hockey fan his name was jackson and hes hurt right now so next the tiger play suffern he will be playing
RT/H Beat North 6-3
is north that bad this year? i heard rt/h didnt even have their goalie or keegan.
and how many of those were at sporto when mamaroneck was brought back down to earth 5-1?
about the comment about suffern only playing 9 guys—what does that say about the skill/skating ability/stamina of your team that you cant stop 9 guys, who, theoretically should be tired..right?
sufferns top line had 9 points the other night…yours had 3? 4?
is jackson really worh 5 points per game against suffern?
jackson had a whopping 30 pts last season, his biggest night was one 4 point night (2g 2a) against THE ALMIGHTY POWERFUL Guilderland in a 7-2 blowout
simple truth
Suffern wins in rockland, westchester, syracuse, cortland, albany, etc. The refs from rockland arent traveling with the team and they have nothing to do with Suffern winning. Suffern is the best program in section 1 and one of the best in the state. The history doesnt lie and niether does this years record.
pelham beats rye next week easy
if rye cant even beat JJ they should have a tough time against us.
pelham 6 rye 0
any other predictions?
RT/H played there back up goalie and kegan wasn’t even playin and they beat North great game guys
iona loses to st marys 9-2
league 1 is a Joke…...Other than Suffern and Mamaroneck there is no competition. Clarkstown North is 0-4 and has only scored 4 goals all season. You lost to White Plains who just lost to Fordham… I wouldn’t be pounding my chest if I were you! LOL
wow man calm down leaue 1 is close this year beter than last year
im looking for some predictions for next weeks games
Competition is between Suffern and Mamaroneck. You have teams like RT/H and Rye Moving up and Fox Lane and Yorktown moving down. It’s a joke.
Just curios “TerribleCompetition”...becuase teams moved up or down based on talent or ability to compete, league 1 is a joke. Isnt it better to have teams that arent as good move down to keep the talent better. Why is Rye or RT/H move up and Fox Lane and Yorktown down a joke. Pelham is certainly a League 1 team and RT/H took them to overtime. Rye did well last year in the playoffs. So what’s the problem?

balanced league,
your the problem.
what an intelligent response.
Pelham vs Suffern two goal game Suffern is the favorite
but do not discount the possibility of a pelham upset.
Pelham will out shoot Suffern tuesday, the game will be determinded by the goaltenders.
Harold. I think you’re underestimating John Jay but that could be a good thing. The new coach is finally learning who his players are. They have two strong lines both ways and it looks like one of the goalies is stepping up to the challenge. They have three games this weekend in Rockland so we will have a good idea whare they stand by Sunday night.
blah,
iona- st.mary’s was tied 2-2 after 2
ip what happened in the 3rd period?
St Marys is really good so kudos for hanging with them for 2. I’d like to hear some game detail.
Sounds like Iona played two lines tops and 3 defensemen and St Marys rolled all their lines and exhausted Iona. Depth is a big factor when comparing hockey teams. If you can roll 3 lines which most teams around here can’t then you wear the other team down. I always wonder why HS coaches don’t concentrate on getting 3rd line players and 3rd to 6th defensemen better at practice.
suffern 5 pelham 1!!!!!!!!
Mamaroneck now heads up to Albany this weekend to play Shaker Colonie on Friday night and Guilderland on saturday.
why would you travel all the way up there to play crappy teams like that?
Real time, correct concept but wrong numbers. The actual numbers can be found on the NYSPHS website
White Plains 1669
Mahopac 1352
Suffern 1135
Scarsdale 1093
Mamaroneck 1079
John Jay 979
Pelham 579
Rye 570
Basketball Blog..
I just visited the Basketball Blog…still pretty quiet over there..
I like to see all sports get their proper due, but the JN should re-think there winter High School Winter Sports Preview “pull-out” spectacular. I’m not saying hockey should overtake basketball, but it merits more preview space.
Hey Big Fan. You got alot to say. Why does Suffern Play CBA and North Rockland? Because they are on the schedule and have been for years. Lots of teams have long standing agreements to play each other year after year. Just realx will you.
Is it just me or did everyone get a warm fuzzy feeling after seeing that Iona Prep got smoked 9-2?
“If the Tigers learn to stop taking dumb penalties and play more disciplined then they have a great shot at beating them.”
If the Tigers stop the hooking and holding and interference, Suffern scores 5 more goals!
No warm fuzzy feeling here.
It just shows the difference between local high school hockey and good old fashion club/travel hockey, since St Marys is basically the NY Applecore (as detailed in this blog yesterday).
Kudos to IP for playing them and later on Don Bosco who are off to a strong start in New Jerseys tough Gordon Conference.
It would probably take a section 1 all star team to even compete with St. Marys…Sorry even Suffern couldn’t beat them.
Travel Team, you are 100% correct. Applecore is a whole different level of hockey. HS hockey is basically second rate players. if you look at the big picture of the top hockey players most HS kids can barely skate. There might be a handful of section 1 players that would have a chance of even trying out for the applecore.
Real Deal..CBA is one of the best teams in the state, well worth the trip and as far as north rockland.. who know’s??
ip was up 2-1 heading into 2nd intermission until a late goal rallied st. mary’s…3rd period, st. mary’s dominated from the get-go…went up 5-2, 6-2…then ip rested their 1.5-2 lines that were basically playing all game
and I’m not knocking local high school hockey. Its still pretty good and entertaining and still has the best intangibles.
For 99% of these kids its their only hockey “showcase”. Good youth hockey, even high level AAA, is played in obscurity as is good junior hockey..
real deal, by the way i am very relaxed.. thanks for the concern
BEST TEAMS IN THE STATE?...CBA is currently 1-2-2 and in last place in the CDHSHL behind BOTH Shaker and Guilderland.
as someone said before, hockey up there and jersey’s gordon conference are FAR AND BEYOND hockey over here…
Real Deal is right again!!!
and CBA losses are to suffern and ithica.. we will see how things are at the end of the year.
Pelham fan.. real deal is correct but you guys are going to get killed tonight… ha ha ha
It was a crazy game. I think St.Mary’s took Iona for granted initially. Iona scored first (Lopez/assisted by King&Cambria), then St.Mary’s evened the score on a power play. Iona went up 2 to 1 (Lopez/ assisted by McCabe & Cambria), then St.Mary’s tied it with under a minute to go. From there it was all down hill, they scored two power play goals and had a break away goal to make it 5 to 2 in the first 10 minutes of the third. Then Iona was on a power play and St. Mary’s gets a break away (Short handed) goal to make it 6 to 2. After that, with around 7 minutes to go in the game, the 3rd and 4th lines basically played and they(St. Mary’s) kept their 1st and 2nd lines in and scored 3 more.
St.Mary’s definitely had the better skaters, definitely on their way to win their 8th NYS Independent High School Hockey Championship. Tough game but to honest with you just didn’t have enough horses to compete. All the kids on St.Mary’s are either playing Applecore Junior A or B.
To be honest with you, if you took all the top travel players in the area. (Salt, Conner, Hagan, King, DiMaggio, Encarnaeo, Sigona, McCabe, Novick, Kegan etc), it would be a good game but St.Mary’s would win. This definitely was a “Learning Experience!
You gotta tip your cap to teams that travel all over and seek out different and better competition. Not many teams in this area leave the section to go play elswhere. I know Pelham, Suffern, Mamaroneck, Scarsdale, and Iona Prep all do. Are there any other teams out there that travel?
CN just played in a tourney upstate i believe
Definitely agree with Pelham fan,
Suffern also leaves the area and looks for higher level competition. It definitely doesn’t help out a team when you play competition that can hardly skate.
Also, Many of the kids that play for the higher level teams also play travel so they want to play against teams that will make them better. Since these games really do not effect their standings for League play, it’s nothing but a “WIN/WIN” for the school and it’s players.
I agree! Congrat’s to Pelham,Mamaroneck,Scarsdale,Iona and Suffern….....
These trips are also good for team unity and bonding. The kids will have life long memeories of the the long bus rides and fun they had with their teammates. There is nothing like high school sports. We should all enjoy it because it goes so fast. Great discussion by the way.
are there many hs players out there that don’t play travel? I often read things like “also play travel”. I don’t understand how someone who is a hockey player wouldn’t play travel hockey..
VERY WELL SAID everyone
Mountie,
On your team (Suffern), I would think that all the players play some travel. On most High School teams, you’re lucky if you have 3-4 travel kids playing. That’s why most High School teams only have one line and 1 good defensemen.
Since when did this blog become peaceful and intelligent? What about the Stepinac JV team? Whats going on here???
North Rockland actually travelled upstate for the first time this season as well. They kicked off the season with a tourney up in the Syracuse area where they beat Cicero-North Syracuse 3-2, and lost to Bethlehem 6-5 in the championship game. Probably not two of the best teams in the state, but it’s a good start to head upstate to see the difference in hockey between down here and up there.
For league 1 teams most players probably play travel. However, it seems some of the better Rye players also played football…I’d think that would preclude playing travel hockey…especially at a football program like Rye.
In the lower leagues the pct. of full-time travel players is probably much less.
Wow 2
Day time while the kids are in school the blog conversations are usually pretty tame and conversational.
At night the blog gets crazy..but its the kids that are playing and they are gonna express and taunt each other like well “kids”..
Section1HockeyFan .. you are correct.. EVERY SINGLE kid plays travel hockey.. there is no way teams can compete at a higher level if a majority of the players dont’play travel..
The core of players on Mamaroneck all play some form of travel. Mamaroneck bantams or midgets, Brewster, New Roc Patriots, Spring league etc. You can’t really compete if you don’t keep up your skating and skills.
this blog in a very short time frame just got so much more mature
iona is mostly westchester (rye) mariners with some brewster and apple core
I often hear parents say things like why are you spending so much money on hockey or other HS sports.. these kids really aren’t going anywhere with it.. i say to myself, this person probably didn’t play HS sports,,(especially the mothers). As many of you would probablly agree HS sports was probablly the best time in my life. You don’t hear guys like al bundy talking about his football team 30 years later for nothing. these kids will have the next 50 years of their life to work (yes by that tiime you will have to work until your over 70) they should be enjoying this time as much as they can.
oh by the way suffern is going to kill pelham tonight!! ha ha ha.. we can’t keep this discussion that nice!!
Just to add on the conversation of going upstate, ETB will be making a trip up to Section 5, Rochester, to play Bishop Kearney/East Irondequiot and Victor. These teams are certainly not powerhouses in Section 5, but it looks to be a great experiences. The coach also has the team going to see R.I.T. (Division 1 Hockey) play that same weekend.
bigfan, I was right there with you until you compared us to Al Bundy. I hope I’m not sitting around someday discussing the merits of my days playing Polk High someday while putting shoes on some old smelly 400-pound woman’s feet in the mall. If I am, please find me & shoot me.
LOL>>. well i only meant the part about the glory days..
We need to define “travel team players”. Different writers seem to have different meanings. Most players receiving significant ice time grew up playing some form of travel hockey. Most started when they were 8-9. But everyone has their ability level and athletic talent varies. If you were a B player in the Hudson Valley League, you are probably not receiving significant ice time on a good team. “A” Players in the HVL are usually strong support players on a good varsity team. The “3-4 travel players” mentioned earlier are referring to players in higher leagues than HVL or the very best players in the HVL.
CBAs losses are to Suffern and West Genny (in the W Genny tourn) and tied ithaca…if mamaroneck played their schedule theyd have 3 losses
i really don’t think we need to define travel player..lets get real.. the only comment i will give that crazy post is.. it is well known that the HVL is very week!!!! Man!! and it was going good there for a while..lets get back to trash talk, much more fun!!! and the comments are supposed to be stupid.. i really hate it when people try and sound intelligent and then just mess it all up..
can anyone remember a team that has changed so much in one year like North has this year from last year? I mean, wow, 5 goals through the first six games. I think little Willows had 5 goals in the first game alone last year…
Same thing is going to happen to Suffern next year. What comes around goes around.
suffern 2 years ago lost drew and justin daniels, rich kastor, and andrew yorke….over 200pts….and they responded last year with a top line that put up over 190 pts by salt, clark and ruthberg to get suffern back to the final 4 again
guess suffern has the depth…and north just had willows
next season, suffer will have gabriel, mccarron, norwin, hiller, hill, jaeger, goetz, modica ….they will be much better than u think..returning 1 first liner, 2 second liners and 2 of their 4 starting defenseman
suffern will be just fine next year.. will probably not be as good as next year but will still be the best team in the section. and suffern has been the top team or one of the top teams in the section for over 25 yrs..
defense could be their only problem next year.. not much depth..norwin and mccarron will be great but after that you are looking at fuchs who will be a soph.. and not much else.
Hello…what about a goalie? You just can’t replace an All State goalie with someone with zero experience. You guys are just an average team without him right now.
Rye also will play 5 regular season games against upstate opponents. They play in a 4 team D 2 tourney in Rome, NY over Xmas break (other 3 teams are Sweet Home, Queensbury and Rome Free Academy- all 4 teams in the end of season top 10 state rankings). Then they and Mamaroneck host 2 upstate teams (Whitesboro and someone else) over MLK weekend at the Hommocks. Finally, it is up to Glenns Falls just before Sectional playoffs. Hopefully, they find their offensive mojo along the way.
as mentioned a while back in one of the other blogs, gabreil is probably the second best goalie in the section, just nobody knows. and to say just an average team is just crazy.. CN fans really shouldn’t even be allowed to discuss hockey this year. league 3 team at BEST!!!
Can’t say the HVL is as weak as it used to be. Maybe only when comparing it to AAA hockey in NJ…and locally the Ramapo Saints AAA NJ youth program has severely deteriorated. Does it still exist?
Westchester Express still strong at AAA, but HVL teams at Bear Mountain, Mariners and Capitals, and when they play in the league the Vipers and Polar Bears provide good local travel opportunites. These programs are easily comparable to A and AA Long Island and NJ programs…
Saints AAA is gone..organization is really having a hard time. very good midget teams but are really stuggling in the younger div. maybe the HVL has gotten a little better but a few years ago they were not very good at all.
Word on the street is that many of the Saints Midget teams have been hijacked by Bergen County based high schools..
It seems no one realizes that the whole section especially the top leagues talent has gone way down in just 1 yr some pretty good players have left for college, prep or juniors. So their is not much comp for Suffern.
CN FAN you have no idea but Suffern will be the SECTION champs for probably the next 5 or 6 yrs easy even if they don’t win every game, they have some great freshman and 8th graders coming.CN can’t say that and will be lucky to win 3 or 4 games this yr and beyond this yr it will be worse.
but.. suffern will have a problem at goalie in 2 years from now. .not next year but the year after..
will be fine for years to come. when you have 27 players on your current varsity roster, and about the same on the modified team, your all set. dont tell me you cant find 2 solid lines of offense and defense out of that many players. suffern does and will always have great depth.
whos on 2nd line of suffern right now? is it shore, goetz and hill? that kid goetz looks like the real deal – he may be the fastest one on the team!
HVHL Midget 18 U league has about 4 good teams.
Clarkstown-Bear Mountain-Vipers-Mariners
16U: Same 4 organizations. These organizations also play and compete well against LI Tier II teams in non league games. They start hard end of August and then slow down Nov. 1st. They pick up again end of January with playoffs and states. Many kids written about in these blogs play and choose to because they don’t want to endure travel of local junior programs.
The relevance of the travel hockey in this area could be debated forever. In CT, you make a choice travel or high school. In basketball, nationwide, you have two distinct seasons: high school and AAU (or some facsimile).
Since, very few HS’s have JV most 8th & 9th graders stay involved at the Bantam level, 10th graders might fit in a Midget Minor team in order to get more ice time to get ready for Junior & Senior year when they get their chance.
Here is my question for debate…
As far as I know, nobody goes directly from any NY Metro “Junior” team to any kind of major college program without a 5th year in prep school or a couple of years in real juniors in Canada or the upper midwest.
So what is accomplished by missing out on major portions of your high school experience (on and off the ice) in Section 1, so that you can travel all over creation in search of better competition (and a huge dent in your parents wallet).
Check out the websites, even at non-scholarship colleges all the Freshman are at least 20. People are all caught up in the elite travel hockey mystique…maybe they should relax and enjoy high school…you only get four years.
I’m guessing we’d all be better off following the Jordan’s…Ecyk & Bloom…well-rounded student athletes who are (will be) real students at places like Middlebury & Cornell.
Hey IP vs St. Marys, next time you should bring yourself out to Long Island and watch the game. Iona Prep played there 3 lines the whole game mean while St. Marys rolled there top 2 lines. Iona Prep was winning the game 2-1 until they broke down with 3 minutes left in the second period. St. Mays beat Iona 9-2 which means they would beat Fordham about 20-2. Iona is scrimmaging top teams like St. Marys and Don Bosco so there is no reason why they should be hounded for loosing to these teams. Its must a warm and fuzzy feeling to see Iona loose for priceless and all the other Fordham Prep fans because it’s been proven that Fordham isn’t even in Iona’s
Fordham Prep isn’t even in Iona’s league*
See the kids are out of school now!
LOL Travel TEAM..
Kudos to Iona Prep for at least playing St.Mary’s. Seems to me that by playing such competition will only make you a stronger team by season end! That’s what Suffern does and you can see the ultimate results.
CHSHL 101 shame your so defensive. I give IONA all the credit in the world for playing St Mary. But the fact is Iona doesn’t have 3 lines to play them even with your son on the 3rd line. Your right Fordham doesn’t have one kid who could compete at that level. Why bring them up? Enjoy your season.
Hockey Perspective >> i don’t get your question.. if you are asking why don’t more kids play hs hockey instead of going off and playing juniors, prep or AAA somewhere the answer is: many junior teams don’t allow you to play for your hs team and if you choose hs over your junior team you will have a very difficult time getting a spot once you graduate. first other kids will move ahead of you in ability by playing at the higher level and second, once they have a spot you are not going to take it from them. Why would a kid who has the potential to play d1 and maybe beyond stick around and play for their hs, doesn’t make sense. you are just holding them back and significantly reducing their chances of playing at a higher level.
“Same thing is going to happen to Suffern next year. What comes around goes around.”
Only in your dreams! Thanks to a GREAT feeder program and a coach who is involved right down to the mite level, Suffern will be a major contender in NYS for several years to come.
bigfan
I guess the question is why skip the fun and recognition of SEC 1 HS Hockey (and maybe another varsity sport) when you can count on one hand the number of kids who grew up in Sec 1 area and played a single shift at a D1 College over the last ten years.
bigfan,
Let’s face the facts,99% of all the kids who play high school hockey will never play D1 and even the kids playing Junior B or A will not play D1 hockey either. It’s just not going to happen.Once you turn 17, all the D1 schools are looking for 22 year old Freshman. Players are told that they have to play Juniors for 2-3 years to even be considerered. And once you are considered, if someone else comes along better then you, then that individual is in and your out!
In my opinion, there’s not one player playing today who will play D1 three years from now. Look at all the past players on the Westchester high school teams who NEVER made it to play D1.Ciciola,DelSonno,Connelly,Capalbo,Van Ansel and that other kid from Fox Lane who is still playing Juniors after 4 years. Other than the Shattenkirks from New Rochelle (Kevin/BU and Keith/ Princeton)and a few others like Foster and Tozzo, it just isn’t going to happen.( I know I missed a few, but not many)
Honestly, of all the High School players playing today, who do you really think is going D1. I really hope it happens to a few of these kids but I really doubt it. Most kids will play Club Hockey if they’re lucky!
But it’s good to Dream! But in the end, I would tell my son or daughter to play as much High School Hockey as possible. That’s what they’re going to remember when they get older…...By not playing High School Hockey, they will be missing alot. Playing travel you never have the crowds that Mamaroneck, Suffern and White Plains have and you’ll never have the support like the students can give you.
How many kids are going D1 in any sport? Who cares, everyone plays to have a good time.
Most kids learn more from sports and school plays than they do in any high school class they take. Teamwork, comraderie, lifelong friendships, goal setting, work ethic, perseverence, learning how to accept victory and defeat etc etc. It is usually the dopey parents who don’t get it and worry about little Johnny going to play in college so they can talk about it at tea parties.
lol ok Suffern did not lose semi-final game
but wait I did not see them in the finals
so lets see they did not lose in the play-offs but yet did not win the states.
They lost peroid end, there is not streak, no state championship.
Lets move on . . .
My son plays at (school) and they are the best team. They were robbed by _(excuse) and they are really one of the best teams because (random reason that probably doesn’t apply to hockey at all) and they have a good chance at winning (some achievement your child’s team will most likely not accomplish) and then he will go on to play at (D1 college name).
there you go parents, I just saved you the trouble of ever having to fill out your own post, just insert your choices in the blanks.
My son plays at Mamaroneck and they are the best team. They were robbed by the refs and they are really one of the best teams because they have more depth and the best players than any other team from hommocks named tigers and they have a good chance at winning against guilderland and shaker and then he will go on to play at home, hes being home schooled to play juniors.
“Dreaming”
Here are the facts. I got this from the NCAA – Div.1,2 and 3 combined
totals. 2005 from private and public high schools combined
Estimated Probability of Competing in Athletics
Beyond the High School Interscholastic Level Ice Hockey
Student Athletes Competing Men’s Ice Hockey
High School Student Athletes 36,263
High School Senior Student Athletes 10,361
NCAA Student Athletes 3,973
NCAA Freshman Roster Positions 1,135
NCAA Senior Student Athletes 883
NCAA Student Athletes Drafted 33
Percent High School to NCAA 11.0%
Percent NCAA to Professional 3.7%
Percent High School to Professional 0.32%
And you are wrong about section 1 players. I Know many Rockland High School Hockey players over the years that went on and played D1 college. All a player has to have is 2 things, to be great at hockey and GRADES.
good job, see how easy that works
and it sounds like a good original complaint
itsabreeze,
There’s no way that 11% of the kids that are currently playing hockey in our area will play in the NCAA! Sorry…
Percent High School to NCAA 11.0%
11% of HS athletes will play NCAA
like track, lax etc will have higher percentages
i agree with dreaming. I mean just look at some of the best players that have played high school hockey in the past years and look where they are. if they are good enough to continue their careers they are most likely doing so at the club hockey level. I know there are a couple of guys playing club hockey in college such as Dave DelSonno for Siena, Kevin Connely for Holy Cross, and John Sheehy for Lehigh I think. Anyone else know any area alumni that are currently continuing their careers in the college ranks?
hahaha 11% means u get an average of 2 kids from every team going to play college hockey, its lucky if we have 1 kid from all seniors in section 1 go on to play college hockey.
I have been involved with the Catholic league for many years and i know that there have been many great players from the CHSHL that are playing club hockey all over now. Hal Mackenzie plays for UPenn, Joe Namy for NYU, Kevin Baum for Towson, Kasey King for Michigan, Alex Post from UMBC, and I am sure I am forgetting some names. I have seen NYU’s club team play and they are very good. They went to Nationals last year and didn’t win a game so that shows how competitive it is at that level. These are names that a lot of people should recognize and just helps to put it in perspective where even this years best high school stars will most likely end up. anyone know about the public school kids that are still playing?
I agree, but if you read the chart it includes prep-school so my guess is that most of that 11% is coming from there ranks and a large % from Massachusetts, Minnesota, and states where hockey is God. But i still think this area has been turning out some great players and with youth hockey programs getting better and better you gonna see more players advancing to college level. so you keep telling yourself or you kid they cant, and believe me we wont be reading about you, but at lest take my advice about the grades you wont lose, hockey or no hockey
“fidy” You can log on to the NCAA web-site and it has this probability chart for all sports men and woman, but when you do also check out the grade requirements, 16 core credits and sliding scale gpa/sat chart that a high school senior must have before a college coach can even look at them. Junior hockey gets the best players, college hockey get the best with the GRADES….....
Does anybody have anythoughts on etb. The team is 90% underclassmen and they are doing well in league three.
ETB Fan #2, Who CAres!
itsabreeze
The 11% does come from the Prep schools and Minnesota. The last Rockland county player to go D1 I can think of was Foster. That was sometime ago already. Prior to him not sure how far back you’d have to go. The % of Rockland county players going D1 is more like 0.1%. Yeah one per 1000 sounds optimistic.
Westchester is maybe slightly better if you count the kids that really never played public HS hockey. I dont think Tozzo lasted more then one year at D1 and I believe transfered to D3. Shatty is playing for BU but he never played at his westchester public HS (dont think he ever attended it either). Squires will be entering a D1 program next fall and he only played at his westchester HS in his freshmen year. No word on Elser or McKiernan but I’d expect one or both to wind up in a D1 program. Don’t think either of them played westchester public HS hockey. I’d guess optimistically speaking for westchester, 2 or 3 per 1000.
The only player to go D1 and play in his senior year (while playing JR A/B at applecore) and move to D1 was Tozzo. He might be the only one in section 1 in over 15 to 20 years.
Maybe we need to give more credit to playing any level of NCAA hockey. Maybe playing collegiately is a great accomplishment. Rockland and Westchester have had several HS players that continued to play at the NCAA club and D3 levels. Isn’t this a great way to experience 4 years at college. Some of these games can draw just as many fans as the D1 programs. Some of them have fan bases just as great or even greater then many of the D1 programs.
“Sec1Fan” Well said, but I think the older Wright from Clarkstown South was the last (EAST HOCKEY) but that’s not the point, and I could careless the level a kid plays D1 thru club. Whats important is players getting an education and playing a sport they love for as long as they can. If you read my 1st post, that NCAA chart is for d1, d2, d3 COMBINED, there are 59 D1 teams in the NCAA maybe 1100 players and a lot of d1 player are Nationals so that makes d1 about 1/16 of 1% chance. I give credit to anyone playing any level after high school. But I think you are going to hear about a lot more players in the future from this area at all levels. I dont know if it is true but I hear the twins from Suffern signed with North Western?
Check out the brochere for this Minnesota Hockey Prep School
https://www.s-sm.org/ftpimages/131/misc/misc_38130.pdf
There are 32 pages about hockey. The whole website is less than that.
Wonder if Stepinac JV could beat them? LOL
what about foster? he lead a national chjampionship winning denver university team in points…he wasnt bad.
tigervet,
foster did play with stastny in winning those championships, but never came close to leading du in points…closest he came was 8th on the team as a senior with 29…that year, gauthier had 57…
itsabreeze
The twins will play juniors in OHIO before going to Northeastern this is part of there deal to play at Northeastern.
“ALL BULL”
So what, thats how it works with D1 these days. I hope it pans out for them.
Intramural hockey
My son plans on attending a college with a good intra-mural hockey program…with dreams of bringing glory and honor to his dormitory..
For cryin-out-loud, if I’m paying 50 grand a year for college, hockey will be way down on the list of his priorities!
itsabreeze,
WOW, didn’t realize that was part of the deal for the Daniel’s. But now if you think about it. They will be playing D1 hockey at the age of 21. They’re now around 19, will play Juniors at 20 and go to Northeastern at 21.
Good luck to them….They’re great kids!
I may have missed a few players that haven’t quite arrived yet at the collegiate level. Their whereabouts are not always publically known till they get to where they are going.
In any event we are not coming up with very many names between the 2 counties. The percentage of local players getting to any collegiate level is slim at best. The higher the level the less likely you’ll find any of them there.
Itsabreeze, I’d say the 1/16 of 1% as a percentage of local players at the D1 level is starting to paint a more accurate picture. I will also stand on my statement that Foster was the last Rockland county player to go D1 as of today. The older Wright from CS, I believe played D3 (which is a major accomplishment and he must have been a hell of a hockey player).
Section 1 Hockey is a lot of fun and a great event to attend. The players will always remember the experience of playing. The fact that any of them make it to any collegiate level makes it more fun to see them continue to accomplish. It is however not the purpose of HS hockey for the players to move on to any of the collegiate levels. The game is played for school spirit, journal news recognition and athletic activity. Anything beyond that is just icing on the cake.
itsabreeze
I was just letting you know not knocking the twins
Just to add
J.Letiza YORKTOWN-TRINITY COLLEGE
C.Wynne SUFFERN-CASTLETON STATE COLLEGE
FROM THIS PAST YR AT THESE D3 SCHOOLS
“All Bull” My apology for misunderstanding your post. I think it’s a great accomplishment, and hope we see more players from the area advance at all levels regardless of the odds.
Long hard road to get to a D1 or D3 school for hockey. A very rare thing. Realistically play basketball, baseball, football, lacrosse, or golf, bowl, or fence if you want better odds to play an interscholastic sport in college.
Who is the best foward and defenseman from each grade
puck 54,
iona has a power combination that i would argue for
f – king
d – mccabe
king/mccabe – both seniors
iona has a good squad this season..are they playing suffern or mamaroneck this season?
Justin L. is listed on the Trinity website from BRUNSWICK…what is that all about?
Iona plays at Suffern in early Jan
puck54,
iona has a power nonleague schedule
-at bosco
-at suffern
-at bergen catholic
-at rye country day
-at monroe woodbury
-at white plains (if you want to call them power)
-just played at st. mary’s competitively
-scrimmaged at brunswick and at suffern already
umm…..wouldnt consider a 9-2 loss vs. st. mary’s competitive
id say thats a blowout
who are the top junoirs (grade) in the area?
i would agree, that is not competive, it is the final score that counts not the score after 2 or after the first 32 minutes and 45 seconds. I have read a lot of comments like this on this blog. people think because their team outplayed a team for a period of time or had more shots on goal that they should have won. the only thing that counts is the final score, not the fact that your team played one or two good periods or had more shots on goal etc..
Best Junior id have to go with Hiller (Suffern) and then prob Perelle (mahopac)...However i am not really sure about any real standout junior defenseman besides that kid Hagan (Mamo) and McCarren (Suffern)(plays in the rotation with Ojeda and Conklin)
exactly bigfan,
iona claims they could have beaten st. marys. Get over it, you lost 9-2, you lost for two reasons.
1. You are not a great team, great teams do not collapse and give up 7 goals or whatever in the 3rd period.
2. You have 1.5 lines, thats it. Because of the lack of depth (most teams in the area also suffer from this) you lost wind in the third and stood no chance against them.
If a team is going to play 1 line they need to have the stamina to play all 3 periods..or they could just be like Suffern and play 9 kids that skipp the first period but win games in the second and third lol
anyone other opinions on the top Juniors?
any*
i wouldn’t say iona is not a great team,, i think they are but st. mary’s is just in a league by themselves.. aren’t many teams anywhere that could beat them.
bigfan, exactly my point
eyr and whoever else…the fact that you are comparing suffolk pal’s best, apple core’s best and tons of others (aka st. mary’s) to iona is a complete waste of time…the fact that iona’s top half of the roster stood with those guys means alot…and yes, other teams can do that too (i’d say suffern…and just by reputation, i’d say most mamaroneck teams, fordham in its better years, clarkstown north from back in the day, etc. could do the same)
and no, the final score is not the bottom line…thats why rankings exist in sports, specifically college and high school, big boy…no one cares about a record…its who you play
Iona Prep should be ranked #1, but otherwise its mostly accurate.. Cody King and Michael Cambria are the 1 and 2 in points this year, and that 1st line is absolutely dynamite.
jr talent
iona’s lopez and iona’s molinaro…both are very fast with lots of talent…both played empire state and both played for iona as sophs
sophomores
-EASILY cambria for iona…apple core standout shines
-you could argue for mcardle as well (i believe apple core at some level)...also, shined in the iona-fordham championship series last year
-iona’s defenseman kirincic
the above 3 all played for iona as freshmen
ip
im feeling a little bias….
anyway get over yourselfs, i have a feeling all of you guys will shut up after you get destroyed by suffern
P.S. in the end what matters is W-L, not scores, you could outshoot someone 50-1 in the state title game and lose 1-0, and guess what, you arent state champs!
I don’t understand how some you think that the catholic league is good at all ,the league only has a few teams and most of them are pretty weak, there might be some good players but they don’t have much comp, and they play the same teams 4,5 or 6 times. Iona might have a tough non league schedule but they have already been thumped by one of thos teams 9-2 and if they do win a few of them then maybe the season will matter more.
What ever happen to Catholic league that had powers like CARDINAL HAYES,ALL HALLOWS, ST.RAYMONDS.
Like I said you have a few teams and some only play 3or 4 games in a season ex:Mount St Michaels, how is playing Fordham and Stepinac a load of times even considered a league.
apparently, no one realizes that the 9-2 loss at st. mary’s was the best game to watch all season (even over their 9-1 wins)
eyr, we’ll get over “ourselfs” while we’re playing at bosco and at bc while suffern is at rye town/harrison
all bull, no one cares about the catholic league except for the 3 locals and farrell..why are you wasting your breath..why do you think iona scheduled the world this year..?
I would like to see Fordham play all the non league teams Iona Prep is playing so everyone can see that Fordham’s talent isn’t even close to the talent of the power housed Iona Prep
IONA…..get over it. St. Mary’s had their backup goalie in! Now what do you have to say?
truth, tell me when the book youre writing is finished so i can read it when i have time
When I finish reading yours….lol lol!
even if S.t Mary’s did put their backup in he still was the Jr B goalie at Applecore. Shows how much depth they have.
Sorry CHSHL….the backup goalie is NOT the goalie for the JR B team. The backup Jr. B goalie is Lazarus and HE WAS NOT in net against Iona! Try again.
ip….im guessing you play for iona prep, not so much play as ride the bench
but i have never, and will never, see a 9-2 loss and leave the rink thinking “hmm…that losing team really put up a good game”
Rye Country Day lost to Northwood’s second team 2-1 nice try champ,
And RCDS beat Iona for the second year in a row, cut the malarky they should be a top 3 team
RCDS should be a top 3 team, Country Day is right, Rye Country Day played Northwood’s second team, so his name is correct: the original man with the name Country Day is a joke
RCDS should be a top 3 team, Country Day is a joke is right, Rye Country Day played Northwood’s second team, so his name is correct: the original man with the name Country Day is a joke
