Maybe Ossining can get Barry O to be their mascot.

Major points to anyone who understands that reference.

Little Fish,
I'm not sure which comment you were referring to, but Kennedy fans have a very different approach to cheering than S/NS fans is what I was saying. When S/NS scored, immediately the Kennedy fans yelped out any curse they could at the team. Booing is acceptable from fans, but this was just sad. I felt embarrassed for most of them. In regards to the reffing, anyone who had been at the first two games knows that a select few kids on Kennedy were aiming to hurt other kids. Not a single clean hit was thrown by one of their players, and the refs turned a blind eye. With it being a sectional game, these cheap shots were called and S/NS was able to take advantage of Kennedy's cheap play for the first time ever.

fanofgame

you are correct, ossining did replace the indians with the riverhawks, which was also dropped recently. Actually, Ossining has no mascot right now. The O is simply representative of ossining and is found in the middle of the field and on athletic helmets. opposing schools who have no idea what they are talking about have taken the O as some sort of mascot incorrectly

Not sure what you mean about your comment about S/NS and JFK/PV, can you clarify. Little Fish

Also most of the upsets weren't with the top ranked teams, i hardly doubt that teams like Suffern and Mamk will get upset, they obviously won't look past the other teams, they both have state rankings for a reason. Though for other match ups like RTH and WP it could really go either way, although RTH has a higher seed WP beat them before and i'm sure both are trying to demonstrate it was a fluke, or on the other side prove it wasn't.

Sorry guys, but you will see more close games and the underdogs will prevail. 5 of the 8 games played monday and tuesday were lower seeded teams that won.

I am sure Suffern will start the game the same way they start every game. If they are fortunate enough to repeat the performance they had earlier in the year against NR and get a bunch of goals early, then they will/should empty the bench in the third period. Just because it's a playoff game doesn't mean you should run up the score by leaving your first/second lines/D in even with a huge lead. You would be very sorry if a first/second/line player got hurt after you left him in in a blowout. If it is close, and by close I mean four goal lead or less, they won't be emptying the bench. Hopefully, they won't look past anybody. They certainly won't look past Mamaroneck.

So does that mean Suffern will be playing its 4th or 5th lines and backup goalie in the quarterfinal? Remember pride is one of the 7 deadly sins.
