No one cares about Football. Less than a month and practices begin in HOCKEY!
To paraphrase Bob Grant…”Get off my Blog!”
Your passion for hockey is quite evident and to be admired.
It should be noted that we actually find many football players play hockey and other varsity sports and ditto for fans, so yes, there is interest.
We launched our live chats earlier this month, and if you haven’t checked it out, be sure to give it a try. Even if you’re not a varsity football diehard, winter season is just around the corner. See you guys on Wednesday night at 7:30.
stay off the hockey blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ita a great thing, hope you do it for hockey. I dont personally care for football because all it does is beat up the hockey players who play it.
Joe, I actually love high school football second to hockey. That is a fun blog over there too. So please have the same webcasts of big hockey games that you do for the big football games.
If they are going to start doing webcasts for hockey, lets get the ball rolling early for March. Joe & Harold, how about we start making plans now for webcasts from Utica should any Section 1 teams make it to the frozen four.
Also, whether we have represntation on the ice or not that weekend, the 1992 Suffern team that won the D1 State title will be inducted into the NYS High School Hockey hall of fame the weekend of states, so I think we should try and get the induction ceremony up on a webcast as well.
Al and LoHud Hockey – Those are definitely good suggestions. Think about it. Just three weeks ago we had never done a streaming video of a varsity event. Now, already we’ve done around a dozen. I can’t predict the future, but it should be very interesting, especially if the support is there from folks like you.
Harold, I suggest that within a day or two of every Varsity Central Live “football announcement” on the hockey blog that you start a new hockey topic. Make one-up even if their is no real news…may I suggest an in depth look at the Nyack-TZ merger, LOL..
Seriously, the problem with Joe putting these football announcements on the hockey blog is that it just stops the hockey talk cold.
When people check the blog and the first thing they see is a football topic, they just don’t bother to hockey blog.
Al Bundy brings up a good point. I know the newspaper industry is all about bringing people in with the headlines, so Joe being higher in the pecking order than Harold, jumps in and steals a headline on Harold’s hockey blog. But here’s the fact of the matter. At this time of year, there is not a ton of traffic on the hockey blog, but it’s been steady. When there are so few posts, everyone logging on here is reading every post. No need to plug the football stuff with a headline. If you post it as an entry under a different headline, like all the rest of us, everyone will read it.
Thanks Joe or Harold or mysterious Journal News web-person.
You’re welcome. I also hope to have something today on team’s out-of-area schedules
white plains is looking strong with 7-1 victory over rye town
I thought I wasnt going to like this blog but more I read the more I liked it.
