Ice hockey in the Lower Hudson Valley with Harold Gutmann

White Plains belongs, belated congratulations and Suffern heads upstate

December
4

Last year, it was Rye Town/Harrison who made a move into League 1 and exceeded expectations with a fourth-place finish. Will history repeat itself this year?

After stumbling in its tournament last weekend, League 1’s newest representative made a nice opening statement last night, beating Rye 4-3 and outshooting the Garnets 32-20. Broderick scored twice and McCarrick had two assists. Now comes another test today, when the Tigers host Pelham. Get past that and League 1 will be a lot more wide-open then people suspected.

I haven’t posted since Tuesday night, so a belated but much-deserved congratulations to Pelham coach Ed Witz for No. 300. There are three Section 1 coaches in history to accomplish that feat, and two of them coach five miles apart (the third is usually watching from the stands in his role as Section 1 coordinator). As I expected, his postgame quotes deflected the attention and gave all the credit back to his players. The cliche “nice guys finish last” clearly does not apply at the Ice Hutch.

I also got the schedule for Suffern’s trip upstate. The Mounties will face Rochester Aquinas on Friday night, while Saratoga plays West Gen, the state finalist last year. Saturday’s consolation is 2:30 and the final is at 5. After never winning before, Suffern has now won this tournament two of the last three seasons, including last year obviously.

Finally, some of you may be aware that our newsroom just went through a significant change this week. This has obviously caused some schedule adjustments (perhaps you saw my article on swimming yesterday?), but I will get the rest of the capsules out as soon as I can.

what happened to the news room harold

  2. out of control

    Harold,
Glad you made the cut. We could not live without you. Hope none of your close friends got the ax.
Also, much Congrats to Coach Witz. There are only a handful of coaches in the section that parents would love to have their son’s play for.
Big Ed is at the top of that list. Class, nothing but class.

Any news on league 3 and 4 previews?

  4. West of the River

Congrats to coach Witz, what a class act for the way he treats his Pelham players but also for the way he treats opponents players.

  5. mamk

wp congrats on ur win and welcome to league 1 and now we know u won’t choke in league 1 and were all glad for that. But we now know you can skate with the top of d2, but can u skate with the top of d1??? if you can it will make a very interesting season with tight games which i look forward too. as far as rth and rye i think they will come around once the season goes on and will be very competitive. Can ppl give me there thoughts on how they think the teams stack up in league 1? im interested in seeing where mahopac lies this year as compare to last and just who they see being at the top of league 1 and the bottom of league 1.

  6. fanotgame

To Mamk- I have thought the following League One rankings to be the case for a while now, and recent play has to some extent confirmed them:

Group One: Mamo, Suffern, Pelham- all should be in the initial state rankings. Deep, experienced and balanced teams.

Group Two: WP, Rye- similar young teams with different strengths

Group Three: Pac, Jay, RTH- solid teams that have to overcome a weakness to compete with the higher groups

In any given League One game:

    a. if both teams play at their best, either team could win a game played between two teams from the same group

    b. a team playing its best can beat any team from the immediately higher group that does not play its best game.

    c. While there will certainly be some scares, it would be surprising for for anyone in group three to beat a group one team.

It will be interesting to see if the composition of these groups change at all as the teams mature during the season. I am betting that some of the younger teams (WP, Pac, Jay and Rye come to mind) have a shot at moving up a group during the course of the season. Don’t think Pac will make the jump to Group One, though.

Still, I have maintained for a while that there will be a lot of close games in League One this season. Goaltending will be the most important factor. The good ones have to be really good for their team to compete and the less acclaimed goalies have to at least be solid for their team to compete.

  7. Old School Mountie

Good luck to Suffern as they head Upstate for what will be a huge early-season challenge.

Any info on White Plains vs. Pelham being played as we read this???

  10. Stats Website

I can’t figure out how to get to the new website for stats. If possible could someone post a link. It would be appreciated.

  11. wp

wouldnt surprise me to see white plains play a close game with pelham or any other league 1 team, they have a strong defense and two solid lines that can compete with most teams. The goaltending is a little suspect however. They beat rye in a close game that was really bogged down by some odd penaltys against both sides. Overall the game was close, but it looked like Rye came out very flat for the entire game, will have to pick it up against mamaroneck this saturday at the hommocks

  12. sec1 fan

Pelham 4 White Plains 3 OT
Pelham’s Victor Dzenis scores with 5.9 seconds left on the clock.
Pelham dominated the 1st period but couldn’t capitalize. Pelham had possession a lot but wasn’t getting great shots on net. WP rushed pretty well. Their 1st line has some players. Not much depth. Lambdin gave up goals on a deflection, a rebound and a freebie where he whiffed with his glove.

  13. wp game

white plains lost in overtime 4-3 to pehlem

  14. Taylor

Does anyone know who won the White Plains vs Pelham game?

  15. Taylor

Wow 3 posts at exactly the same time. Nice job Pelham.

  16. Taylor

So Pelham lost 2-0 to Suffern and one of them was an empty net goal and the other was controversial and may not even have gone in. They finished regulation tied with White Plains 3-3 after White Plains beat Rye 4-3 the night before. I would say Pelham is one of the top teams in the section at this point. White Plains too. Did CN beat White Plains?

  17. mamk

wow seems like it was a good game…im very impressed by wp. when does wp play either suffern or mamk?

  18. sec1 fan

Pehlem beet Wyte Playns pretty dun good

  19. HOCKEY MOM

WP plays Mam’k and Suffern back to back in two weeks.

sec1fan….as far as tonight’s game, give some credit where due. I saw a beautiful pass by WP #24 to #23 (a freshman) who scored. It was a nice goal.

Good job WP. Unfortunately they got called for too many men on the ice when #14 got on the ice and Pelham went to clear the puck and shot it right into #14. WP got the penalty for too many men on the ice with less than a minute left and Pelham capitalize on the PP and put it in with seconds left.

Good game to watch…not as many calls like last night.

  20. Plainsman

Thought White Plains had Pelham tonight. White Plains had 3 leads on Pelham tonight. I think Pelhams experience in tight games was the difference tonight. They totally stole this one.

  21. sec1 fan

I was standing in the corner so I didn’t see it. I thought it was a rebound for some reason.

  22. Its league 1 hockey

Get used to it White Plains. No more blowouts for you like last year. Every league 1 game is a war. As far as Pelham stealing a game thats what they do. been doing it for years. The closer the game gets the tougher they play. Mamaroneck and Suffern are not going to be easy either and it may take White Plains a once around to get acclimated. Pelham finished third behind Suffern and Mamaroneck so they can play. big win for White Plains over Rye.

  23. nobody

#24 22 and 6 had goals for wp

  24. sec1 fan

Victor Dzenis (13) with the game winner.

I saw Emerson (7) had a rebound, Hernandez (11) had one. Did anyone see who got the other one in the third period?

  25. Pelicans Fly Together

That’s a big win for Pelham then, its going to be a good season for the Ice Hutch I’m thinking.
And ya, wp better get ready for a crappy season, or at least no games that anywhere nearly resemble a blow out. that’s what happens to any team after dominating in a bad league and moving to a good one.

  26. Pelicans Fly Together

    Also, Benincasa breaking his arm?

  27. sec1 fan

Not broken. Who are you? I’m curious.

  28. mimi

cambria and molinaro missed most of 1st period due to practice conflict out in long beach for applecore

i know iona scored first, stepinac then tied

    any updates??

  29. Pelicans Fly Together

your bud robertson. i read he’s out for 3/4 weeks, but looking for some conformation

  30. Pelicans Fly Together

but aight im done blogging calm yourself

  31. Stepinac Fan

Iona is winning 5 to 2 after two periods!

I thought Stepinac was defintely taking it to Iona in the first period. They outshot Iona 12 to 2. But then in the second period, when Molinaro and Cabria showed up, Iona completely dominated. There’s a Big difference when those two are on the ice. Stepinac looked scared@!

  32. bob

It will be Pelham Rye in the final once again this year mark it down, and it will be another classic as both pelham and rye are a cut above rest in there playoff league

  33. CHSHL

    MIMI.

I left in the middle of the 2nd. The score was 5-1 in favor of IP. Gizzo looked good in net. Iona Jv put up 15 on stepinac

  34. Stepinac Fan

Game is OVER! Iona beat Stepinac. Looks like Iona has found their goalie. Look very solid and came up with ALOT of great saves. Stepinac goalie looked good except for a 4 minute stretch when Iona scored four goals. Two of those goals were SHORT-HANDED!

  35. Professor

Took a ride to the Iona/Stepinac games. Watched both the JV and Varsity games. Mimi is right. The JV team looked real good and the Iona varsity looked real tough when their two Applecore players showed up.

After watching both games and talking to some of the parents from Iona, it looks like IONA is going to have some very solid teams for the next few years. Their JV has 16 freshman who can skate.

On the Varsity level, their goalie Gizzo, who is a sophomore, did a Fantastic job of keeping Iona in the game until Molinaro and Cambria showed up for the second and third periods. Iona must of been out shot in the first by at least 15 shots. Gizzo made one great save after another.Watch out for this Iona team, If their goalie can play at tonights level, then Iona will be a very dangerous team to skate against!

  36. fair

come on. cambria and molinaro are not that whole team. honestly thre 20 guys deep with 4 lines, are you really going to sit there and say that iona cannot win without those 2

  37. iona vs. stepinac

really impressive game. both teams battled hard throughout it. i agree with Stepinac Fan, i think iona has found their starting goalie. gizzo looked really good in net tonight…pretty sure they said 30 saves on the loud-speaker at the end. i feel bad for lannero (step goalie). i think it said they only counted 20 shots on him, not good for stats and iona had way more than 20 on that kid. molinaro and cambria make a huge difference on the ice. as soon as they arrived they each put up one, sparking a stepinac breakdown which allowed 2 more to go by. stepinacs star, miano, scored the 2 goals on gizzo. well played game all around. btw iona jv beat stepinac jv 16-0, complete massacre lol

  38. iona?

So iona’s jv is the real deal, or no?

  39. pp7

good game from white plains, they are definitely a good team to anyone wondering out there. really close game between them and pelham. big opportunity for white plains to knock them off though, bc pelham played really sloppy and their first line did not show their usual production. good to see that pelham can still win games even when they arent playing in top form. down two goals with little time left in the third, fought back to tie it up with a goal from a second liner and stole the game with only seconds left. great job to the pelicans, huge win for points over rye in the standings

  40. iona vs. stepinac

well that and the fact that stepinac’s jv is terrible lol. i think that chaminade and st. anthony’s jv will probably be a better match for them. 8 on the jv is really impressive, 5 goals tonight.

  41. iona vs. stepinac

    that was too “iona?” ^

  42. Iona Prep Fan

“fair” i think your right by saying iona is not weak without cambria and molinaro. they are still a capable and deep team without them however you have to admit they add a thorough prescence on the ice which most players cannot do. iona is a good team but i must admite molinaro and cambria are a big part of it, especially with lopez

  43. Bennicasa

To clarify. Nothing happend to Bennicasa. Whoever posted that was completely lying.

  44. Get Real

    Hey pp7,

How good can White Plains be if they got killed by Stepinac 7 to 4 and then Stepinac got killed by Iona 5 to 2?

They had a much better team last year!!!!!!

  45. gamer

I was at the WP game tonight and saw WP take a 3-1 lead early into the 3rd period. Props goes to Pelham for fighting back and getting the victory but hopefully this is a lesson to WP to not take their foot off the petal and that every team in this league can play. Should be interesting to see if this team can improve to be the 3rd best team and make a serious impact in the playoffs.

  46. CHSHL Fan

Was at the Iona Stepinac game tonight, I have to agree with Fair! Where Cambria and Molinaro the most dominant skaters on Iona, they also have other skaters who are very powerful like McCardle, Gillispie, Kirinic, Lynett, Nolan, Traicante, Baum, McElroy, Pellow, Carthy.

Iona can actually throw 4 lines of good skaters towards their competition. Coach Turnbull definitely has alot of weapons. And now with one of their goalies stepping up “BIG TIME”, I expect them to run through the CHSHL! Go Gaels!!!

  47. for "get real"

    to get real:
you cannot go by scores. Its not college football. Stepinac due to the short bench will be up and down all year. Thats a hard thing to play through. I saw the Step Iona match and Iona may be a better matchup against Stepinac but there may not be the same advantage when Iona plays Fordham. Glad Pelham has won 2 straight since Saturday nights drama. Looking for the Gaels to take this win and go on a huge run. The goaltending played well and confidence should be at an all time high at Iona. Not sure Iona will win every game from now on but I will be hoping for it

  48. mimi

agreed re Iona V’s confidence…now that they trust the soph. to play in net, it should be interesting come suffern, mw, farrell, fordham, rcds, burke catholic games…

jv division has no parity, just like every year…top half can all beat each other (iona, farrell, chaminade, st. anthony’s), bottom half can barely skate (st. peter’s, stepinac, st. joseph)...fordham is somewhere in the middle this year…

for those who want to know, here is the iona jv roster (they even have 2 healthy scratches every game…varsity has 5…)

    #2, di gioia, soph, F

    #4, little patalano, soph, D©

    #5, wojociehowski, soph, D

    #6, magarelli, frosh, F

    #7, little murphy, soph, D

    #8, chiariello, frosh, F

    #9, logerfo, frosh, F

    #10, ceravino, frosh, F

    #12, benesh, frosh, D

    #13, esquival, frosh, D

    #14, mcdermott, frosh, F

    #16, lipsky, frosh, D

    #17, o’meara, soph, F (A)

    #18, martin, frosh, F

    #19, limardi, frosh, F

    #20, little gillespie, soph, F (A)

    #21, sanz, soph, F

    #22, reilly, frosh, F

    #23, campbell, frosh, F

    #25, de paolis, frosh, F

    #26, riccard, frosh, F

    #27, martinelli, soph, D

    #28, papageorge, frosh, D

    #35, barry, frosh, G

    #30, gizzo, soph, G

di gioia, chiariello, logerfo, riccard, o’meara, ceravino and #3 (didn’t get his name) can all dangle…patalano, murphy and gillespie all following older brother footsteps…the frosh barry can play

  49. Move over Stepinac JV

History repeats itself. Just when the blog had stopped talking about the Stepinac JV of two years ago comes a complete Iona JV roster. Looks like a good bantam team to me. Why continue going to school, just move to Canada and place the team in a junior league. They’re 2 years away from the show. What is the purpose of the self promoting? You have now put these kids on a path of blog loathing for 3 to 4 years. None of them are going to be King. Worry more about the dissension on the varsity team when two kids repeatedly miss parts of games or periods to attend Applecore practices. If you don’t think that is pissing people off your wrong.

  50. mimi

    way to encourage the kids..

  51. mom

if white plains gave pehlam a game and suff and pelham are close, CN will run all over the section

  52. iona?

mimi, they have 5 heathy scratches a game (jv).

And cerivino cant dangle at all (he is a healthy scratch every game)

  53. mimi

iona?, thanks, it must’ve been someone else..

  54. fanotgame

Great to see the close league one matches. Keep them coming. That is what the power league is all about. I think any of the top 5 in League One can give the others in that group a close game on any given nite. Every game a battle. Sounded like WP had a 3-1 lead and ran out of gas (being outscored 3-0 in the third period/OT) playing two tight games back to back (Rye in a 1 goal game the nite before). The Tigers run only 2 lines and 3 to 4 D. That works OK if you have a few days off between games. Looks like it adversely affected them in the third Period vs. Pelham on the second day of the back to back.

  55. enough

the jv talk is ridiculous just end it because NO ONE CARES

  56. Plainsman

Cantt really say White Plains ran out of gas. Pelham had control of the game most of the time except for the first period. As another post said Pelham is strong in close games. They know how to win those close ones or they find a way. I think White Plains will be fine right in the middle of league 1 and maybe they can grab a game agianst Suffern or Mamaroneck. They already beat Rye on the road and to me that was a big win

  57. HOCKEY MOM

Here some press for my favorite hockey STAR….if you’re interested….. http://www.ajhlhockey.org/

  58. sec1 fan

Ebersole is a good home ice advantage to have. The rink is shaped oddly, it is small and has a lot of room behind the net to dump it in. I think Pelham v WP at the hutch won’t be as close.

  59. mimi

from what i remember back in the day, murray’s and ebersole are some of the best sheets to skate on, as the cold air keeps it nice and crisp..

  60. A Quick View

If you play for Applecore you don’t miss practices!
The IP players have no choice they can’t even negotiate Games ahead of a practice. That said if they are that good then that is the best shot they have to get noticed to play college hockey. They still will have to delay a year or so as College coaches expect them to do so. Without Applecore or another Junior team they wind up playing Club Hockey as true freshman. It stinks but it seems to be the only way unless you have so much talent that you are playing on the National U18 team…

  61. mimi

    a quick view,

it has already proven to work…molinaro (one year older than cambria) went to a ushl (omaha) tryout…that’s big time…lots of kids after that junior team, next stop, big-time d1 program uno (nebraska-omaha) (not saying molinaro would ever make that…just making a general point…)

  62. mimi

good read for those who need it…entitled “True Freshman in College Hockey”

  63. mimi you need a life

    Please….....................................

  64. A Watcher

Ebersole is a huge advantage for WP, the rink is small, the ice slow(at least this time of year) and the puck really bounces off of the boards. Some views on yesterdays Pelham-WP game, I think it was a even contest, both teams seemed to shorten the benches. When Pelham puts 13, 7, 6, 21, 2 on the ice they seem to be tough to deal with, I too think on the bigger ice such as the ice hutch the game wont be as close.

  65. clarkstown s

Why no mention of the shootout at the mall? New Ro vs. CS. Final 6-5 New Ro, but could just as easily gone the other way. No one talkin about the CS #1 line of all juniors(Chase,Myers,Jacobs), they will be force for next two years.

  66. Plainsman

looking for space. good points watcher. Pelham was definately looking for space out there last night. when you have a team like that down you need to finish them off. Pelham has an ability to win close games so White Plains should have realized that and not allowed it

Hey Mamo fans, what time do I need to finish up dinner at Sal’s to get a good seat at the Jungle? Will it be hopping tomorrow nite?

  70. Al Bundy

    Bad Economy..

Looks like Harold will be stretched this year. No Max preps, less sportswriters. For example, the very excellent wrestling beat writer of the JN, Tony Pinciaro (sp) has been, I guess, downsized from the JN.

In may respects, wrestling has a small but very enthusiastic fan base, like hockey. Fortunately we were spared Harold, but undoubtdly he will be asked to pick up other sport assignments. I’ll presume less live game coverage and posts by Harold this year.

It already stinks without the Max Preps site and that Gannett “cost efficient” replacement site is not very good, i.e., no league standings, player rosters, etc. Do the coaches even no to submit rosters to this site.

Thankful for this site so the hockey fans can contnue to share information and opinions. Perhaps some very organized blogger can evry week or so post league standings too?

  71. iona varsity/jv

it should be interesting to see if the current jv team for iona follows in the footsteps of last years varsity. in 2 years they will have tommy nolan, lynett, nick pellow, and patalano all together—great combo. though no one can replace them, i believe that if nolan and lynett develop the way they should they could follow in the footsteps of the king and mccabe combo of last year. there is more talent on that team as well; mcdermott, lipsky, o’meara, and murphy will also add to the strength. the rest of the team can play making the roster very deep. i have no doubt that gizzo will start over barry after seeing last night’s game as well as st. anthony’s last sunday, especially since he will have the experience in net. the jv does look good, and in the ‘10/’11 season theyll have the good sophs that will come in over the years…definitely championship potential

  72. mimi

mimi in terms of your iona jv roster, is that the same gizzo thats playing varsity? because the gizzo on varsity is 35 and that says hes 30 so i was just wondering if theres another lol

  73. batman

    “U R A POOPY HEAD” – IONA prep

a prime example of why jv hockey should not be discussed on this blog

  74. The Game

The “JUNGLE” is the place to be saturday night. Get there by 7:30P.M to guarantee a seat. The place will be rockin!!!

  75. mimi

gizzo is on both v and jv rosters (has now been unofficially declared starting v goalie pretty much…), and basically dresses as backup for barry, playing in the non-league contests (burke catholic, mamaroneck, danbury immaculate, etc.)...nevertheless, barry is solid and some say is on par with gizzo…

    iona jv/v,

you don’t have to wait til ‘10/’11…patalano is a soph. now…and the v is graduating about half its roster at the end of this school year…talented froshes like chiarello, logerfo, riccard, mcdermott, lipsky are all good enough to move up next year with that much space opening up…

  76. sec1 fan

McDermott could play for Pelham this year on their second line.

  77. to clarkstown s

I saw the game at the mall and it was a good one however I think NewRo controlled the game and the best players were Martignetti and Prunesti who each had 3 goals

  78. fanotgame

Great to see Freddie M back playing after a seroius (non hockey) head injury. He loves the game and plays it with passion.

  79. Rosters/Stats/etc.

it would good to see the Rosters, stats, etc. up soon.

  80. Old School Mountie

Suffern fans upstate…keep us updated on tonight’s game.

  81. nr vs. cs

“to clarkstown s,” I actually think south outplayed new ro and new ro just survived because of its talent. they were outshot and would not have won if south had better goaltending. but south is a good team and that first line can be dangerous.

  82. mountie style

can we get some upstate updates from the genny tournament please

  83. Just A Fan re: MaxPreps

Max Preps has revised their site and is trying to capture HS hockey action. I like the old site better. But this is better than the new one we’re being linked to.

There’s still a lot of errors, records out of date and stats missing from various places on the MaxPreps site. But I judge that it’s getting more accurate each day. It does sound like you won’t be able to get there directly from here so just bookmark it on your own I guess.

“Gabriel 31 saves and 2 goals by Hill lead the way.”

Suffern’s offense and Suffern’s goalie-do they have any defense?

  100. mountie style

wat do u mean do they have any defense. yes its the defense who didnt let in any goals against pelham and the defense who only let in 1 against aquinas. thats pretty good defense to me

  101. Observer #2

personally white plains got lucky considering pelhams goalie wasn’t playing at his level

  102. Wait a second

Before we pack up the entire Iona Prep JV team and ship them off to Varsity for a title we need to take a look at how they do vs Chaminade and St. Anthony’s JV teams.
So far they lost to Farrell, played a CT team than was not much competition and spanked Stepinac which is a Bantam C teams at best right now.
Without a doubt the team has wheels and some great hands but the above teams typically play the Long Island quality and they should be great games. Don’t get me wrong I hope the run the league and turn heads but they have some work to do. I would also like to see more goals on the team come from puck movement rather than the one on one breaks they have gotten.

  103. sec1 fan

No one cares about JV. We went over this last year. No one cares about JV. Like not even a little bit.

  104. JV talk

For years and years and even when my son played years ago the JV teams and results mean t nothing. It does not neccessarily translate into varsity play once they reach varsity level. Whats worse is the level is awful and many of those good ones left on JV because of the grade they are in get held back. Its a wasted season. If they are good enough they should be on the varsity. Its a waste

  105. JV talk 2

It’s all a waste. If your serious about hockey this JV league is ridiculous. Go try our for a Tier I team. If you can’t make it work till you can. The rest for a Freshmen in HS reatrds your progress. If you can’t make a tier I team or high level tier II team like Mariners or Ramapo Saints then either don’t play JV or don’t complain.

  106. Pelicans Fly Together

JV isn’t anything more than prep for varsity, same with all sports. Besides that, it doesn’t matter, and no one cares about stats etc on jv teams. end of story

  107. OldSchool2

The Suffern D is the weakest it has been in a very long time. The offense will be providing the wins this season. That is just the way it is. There will be some very close games this season, against teams that would not have stood a chance in years past.

  108. sec1fan

The scores of the suffern games so far indicate that the “D” is doing just fine along with the goaltending(maybe best ever in first 2 games). The first 2 suffern games have them yielding 1/2 goal per game. Its the goals for that has started out slowly.

    who r u ?

  110. sec1fan

a section one hockey fan (sorry but not familiar with the CHSHL) as the name clearly indicates.

“The Suffern D is the weakest it has been in a very long time. The offense will be providing the wins this season. That is just the way it is. There will be some very close games this season, against teams that would not have stood a chance in years past.”

You must be kidding, right? The offense has scored 4 goals in 3 games – one was on an empty net.

  113. suffern

How can anyone come on here and state, “The Suffern D is the weakest it has been in a very long time. The offense will be providing the wins this season?” From what I have seen Suffern’s D is just fine. With the outstanding play of senior McCarron, junior Norwin and sophomore Fuchs along with Gabriel between the pipes they have only let up .5 goals/game in their first two games. While in that time the offense has only scored 2 per, including an empty net. To me, giving up less than a goal a game is a lot more impressive than scoring 2 goals per. If anything the only way Suffern will do anything this year is if they rely on their D. I don’t think it will be like last year where they are winning games 7-1 and 9-2, they are going to battle out games 2-1 and 3-2. They do not have any real scorers except Jeager, Hiller is more of a playmaker and Hill will score some. I believe Suffern will be much better next year with the return of Norwin and Fuchs who will be more experienced, talented and stronger/bigger, their D will be unstoppable if they can find a replacement in net who can hold his own.

  114. suffern/west genny

    did suffern beat west genny?

  115. giants hater
