Ice hockey in the Lower Hudson Valley with Harold Gutmann

Watch the state finals live

March
15

Click here to watch the state finals live from Utica. I will be giving updates between periods. Pelham-New Hartford at 12:30, and Mamaroneck-Greece Athena/Odyssey at 3:30.

Here are my articles from yesterday about how Pelham and Mamaroneck made their first state title games: Pelham is one of the most battle-tested hockey teams in the state, and that toughness helped them overcome a deficit in the playoffs for a fifth time. And after watching the 1992 Suffern induction, Mamaroneck is one last step from joining them as champions from Section 1.

That second Goal by Niagra just killed us. Need to score 2 in the second!

this is bad, this is the first team I’ve seen with a defense that has been able to keep up with flory (somewhat anyway)... Pelham needs to catch a break or two either with a nice penalty call or a lucky goal (Dzenis from the blue line at west point esque) to get back into it.

I’ve moved the scoring updates to a new post

Why are you guys zooming in again? I don’t get it. You did this for the first period yesterday. ZOOM OUT AND PAN!
